Megan grew up just south of Detroit in Woodhaven, MI where she competed in soccer, cross country running, and tagging along to her brothers sporting events. Megan graduated from Michigan State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and a minor in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems. After graduation she moved to Iowa to start her Master’s Degree and complete her Dietetic Internship at Iowa State University. Megan then moved to Midland, MI after accepting her first clinical dietitian position at McLaren in Bay City, and currently works as the Nutrition Program Director at Senior Services Midland County Council on Aging. Upon moving to Midland, Megan discovered barre through a local fitness studio and was hooked! After participating as a student for 2.5 years, she became an instructor in 2019. Unfortunately, the studio has since permanently closed. Megan wanted to continue her fitness career and found the Barre Intensity Essentials Training! "I absolutely love the Barre Intensity method, as well as the extended community of resources and support." I have always wanted to combine my nutrition and fitness background and provide a multifaceted approach to consultations. Megan has always enjoyed group exercise, especially during her time at MSU taking intramural classes. She loves the inspiration she gains from working out with others, and hopes to equally inspire others as an instructor. Aside from spending time teaching barre and nutrition Megan enjoys rollerblading, fishing, her pet rabbit named Harry, the farmer’s market, camping, sewing, and shopping. She can’t wait to see you in class!
